We have dedicated this page to telling you what makes Utica and the Mohawk Valley special to us.  We love this place and here's a few reasong why you should too!

• O'Scugnizzo's Pizzeria-  This is THE BEST, and we mean, the best pizza in the world.  Heck they even ship their pizza nationwide.  Our personal favorite is the #8 pizza and any one of their subs.  The #8 sausage pizza is special because 1. they roll the sausage out on top of the pizza in a sheet and 2. they put their delicious sauce on top of the cheese.  Yummy!
  
  
• Utica Club Pilsner Lager Beer- Our FAVORITE beer.  It is absolutely delicious and the ONLY beer you will find in our refrigerator.  UC's claim to fame is it was the "First beer sold in the United States after prohibition."  Those are some major braggin' rights!  With Utica Club, comes the only character steins in the US.  The Schultz and Dooley spokes-mugs made their first appearance on TV 45 years ago.  Today we have 19 UC character steins in our personal collection.
  
  
• Tiny's Grill- Located in the heart of the posh arts district in Utica, Tiny's is the perfect neighborhood bar and grill.  Stop by any time and Wes will take care of you.  Grab a kielbasa sandwich and a cold Utica Club and expect to spend about $5.  No doubt this is one of our favorite hangouts.
  
  
• Thornberry's Downtown Bar & Grill- A very nice restaurant hidden right behind the Stanley Theater in downtown Utica.  A very cozy atmosphere serving a great variety of food. 

• Ancora- Another favorite!  Eating at Ancora is a true culinary experience. This restaurant is unique to Utica. It has the feel and culinary excellence of a NYC hot spot. We are lucky to have such a great culinary showcase right here in Utica. Prices range from $6-20 for meals, desserts are $6-8 and paninis are $7. Ancora is located next to the Stanley on Genesee St.  
  
  
• Rio Grande Tex Mex Grill-  We are addicted to their one pound burrito!  An awesome Tex-Mex restaurant (the owner is from Houston) in the Mohawk Valley.  Rio Grande by far has the best salsa and margaritas in the area.  Muy, muy delicioso!!
  
  
• Utica Boilermaker 15k Road Race- This event is a blast for the community whether you own sneakers or not!  For four years consecutively, the Boilermaker 15K Road Race has been named the largest 15K in the nation. Each year, the race attracts top elite runners from all over the world, Olympians and world record holders.  The post party is held at the F.X. Matt Brewery where our favorite Utica Club beer is brewed.  Each year this unique finish line event brings together thousands of competitors and fans for a street fair-like celebration that includes food, FREE live music, world-famous Saranac beer and soft drinks, and a special awards ceremony.
